Time to put up the harvest for the winter!

Food Bank Apprentice Lissa Firor is looking for a crew of volunteers to help put up kale and chard for the winter. Our friends from Greenbank Farm and the South Whidbey Rotary Club are now providing large quantities of gleaned veggies each week. Volunteers will help Lissa blanch and freeze the excess so that Food Bank clients can benefit from nutritious local garden produce throughout the year.

Thursday or Friday availability is preferred, but all interested volunteers should contact Lissa at goodcheerapprentice@gmail.com or 360-221-4868.
