It’s Junuary in the northwest and we still need to protect our veggies with floating row cover!
Especially those warm weather crops… the zucchini is doing great, and just flowered! Time to leave the covers off in the day for pollination!
Delicious strawberries hiding especially for the garden volunteers to enjoy… and the carrots will be delicious, too, but we won’t be able to see them all season since we need to protect them from the carrot rust fly.
The tomatoes and basil are thriving in the hoophouse…
And being unveiled, lots of flowers growing beautifully in the new bed on the north fence, plus beans with a row of radishes tucked down the center. We are growing the radishes to give away at the Maxwelton 4th of July Parade!
Loving those long solstice days, and patiently waiting for the sun!
