Our kale starts were getting too big for their seed blocks, so even though it was a little on the cold side, we needed to go for it and plant them out in the field.
We prepped the beds and got them all ready!
The first kale starts are now in the ground, and all snugged up in our tunnels made with Agribon floating row cover, and hoops made from black poly pipe. Spinach, peas and leeks have also been planted.
We’ve been harvesting, too! The collards and kale were bolting, but still really tasty with their overwintered sweetness.
